At Prospect Medical Group, we want to make sure our members know the answer to this question: Where should you go for care after your primary care physician’s office has closed?

If you are experiencing an emergency or life-threatening condition, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. If it is not an emergency or life-threatening condition, call your health plan or primary care physician for advice and direction, when possible.

Did you know that most health plans offer 24-hour nurse consultation lines? The nurse can advise you whether to go to an urgent care center or wait until your doctor’s office reopens for care.
